There are three types of asteroids those are-
1.C- = The C- type asteroids are the most common asteroids consists of clay and silicate rocks, and are dark in appearance. 
2.S- = The S- type asteroids are made up of silicate materials and nickel-iron.
3.M- = The M-type asteroids are made up of metals like nickel and iron.
